Tom Polansky
by Tom Polansky
May 2011
Polansky's watercolors study the beauty in the neglected artifacts of industrial sites and the underlying planar interactions of overlooked buildings and signage.
Sculptural compositions use precision-cut and connected reclaimed wood to explore the contrast between the rough exterior of the wood with the cut surfaces, suggesting again that beauty can be found in unexpected places.
