Karah Woesner
by Karah Woesner
Each painting begins with choosing a color or a particular brush stroke; the build up continues with various colors as they blend and highlight one another. Texture is created with a continual repetition of strokes, color after color, with the hope of manifesting together an idea, a feeling.
The inspiration begins there and develops as I paint away in the garage, my make-shift art studio, as my I-Pod shuffles. Most of these paintings
cultivated to the sounds of rock & roll, some jazz & blues, and sometimes a little country. The tempo and mood would change as the songs changed. For a beginner, and amateur at best, this is my first stab at combining a love of color with my love for music.
